We carry many different types of pot grown hedging plants to cater for everybody’s different needs and tastes. Our most popular pot grown hedging are Laurel and Leylandii due to their fast growing nature.

Leylandii: Leylandii is a fast growing, evergreen hedge and is available in green or golden foliage. Leylandii will tolerate all soil conditions, however to maintain a thick hedge it must be trimmed frequently to encourage new growth. We advise you to plant 1 plant per meter

Laurel: Laurel is a fast growing, evergreen hedge which bears large, glossy foliage. Laurel is ideal to provide a screen for privacy in the garden or as a windbreak. Laurel will tolerate all weather conditions but prefers a warm, sunny spot. We advise you to plant 1 plant per metre.

Portugal Laurel(Prunus lusitanica): is an evergreen shrub or tree  native to Portugal and Spain.  As a shrub, it is dense and rounded in form and can be pruned as a hedge. The leaves are glossy dark green and in spring there are fragrant clusters up to 6-10 inches long of white flowers. These are followed by purple berry-like drupes.

This shrub is easy to grow in average moist, well-drained soils and is drought tolerant once established.

Griselinea: Griselinea is an evergreen hedge which bears glossy green foliage(varigated foliage is also available). Griselinia does well when trimmed to shape and quickly establishes a mature hedge. Its growth rate is average at approx. 20-40cm p.a. and it is easy to trim so it’s a great low maintenance evergreen hedging plant.  Griselinia prefers well-drained soil and is one of the most suitable species for seaside gardens.
